Do you desire a contemplative space to reflect back to you the depths of your being?
Do you seek healing from the traumas of institutionalized religion and imperialist society?
Or are you a career creative who thirsts for the integration of your spirituality and creativity?
My practice is based on 4 pillars:
I seek to hold a contemplative space for the directee wherein all of these pillars can flourish.
Do you have to be religious?
No. All that is required is a desire to explore the sacredness and challenges of your own life in the context of spirit. However, I myself would most authentically identify with the broader Perennial Tradition found in the contemplative and mystical expressions of most world religions including animistic traditions. I am able and willing to accompany those from various traditions.
How often do we meet?
Sessions are usually held once per month for one hour. The relationship can be continued or terminated at any time at the discretion of the directee but generally the fruits of the relationship are more acutely noticed over longer periods of time.
Is there a supervising board?
Not universally, but I commit to my own supervision for the entirety of my practice as a spiritual director. This consists of regular meetings with either an individual supervisor or peer supervision with a group of spiritual directors. During these sessions I might use a verbatim from one of our conversations, but rest assured that a pseudonym is always used and your identity is held in strict confidence. These meetings are strictly focused on the facilitation of my own inner freedom and growth as a spiritual director and person. I am a member of Spiritual Directors International and I commit to all of their Guidelines for Ethical Conduct.
What is the price?
$75 for each hourly session. In dire circumstances please communicate with me. I do not want pricing to be a hinderance for anyone.

I Am:
I am a "recovering evangelical" who found a way to the liturgical and contemplative practices of Catholicism but who currently loves talking to the cottonwood trees and juniper groves behind my house more than attending institutional liturgies. I have five really cute, creative kids who all like different things each meal of the day (and that's a lot of variety!).
I have received a Graduate Certificate in Spiritual Direction from St. John's School of Theology and Seminary in Collegeville, MN and I'm an alumnus of the Center for Action and Contemplation’s Living School.
